Development

23 drafts,  17 rounds of feedback, and countless amounts of coffee, I finished my final draft of She Could Be the One with one of my most trusted creatives and filmmaker friend Alexander Grey.

Next,  came assembling the cast and crew. Coordinating across universities, I reached out to talented creatives from top film programs at Cal State LA, Palomar College,  Santa Monica College, UCLA,  and UC San Diego. After a few rounds of auditions and chemistry reads, we casted Sutheshna Mani and Chad Anderson, extremely talented and fantastic actors.

Securing funding from the Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts,  I went on to involve local San Diego based businesses to feature in the film such as the Charminar restaurant, the Fortunate Son restaurant, and the Quint Gallery.  At the core, this film is an ode to the rich culture and picture-esque beauty that San Diego holds.

Post Production

Right after production, my editor Saarang Vinodh and I embarked on a 7 month long post production journey.  Collaborating with composer Nick Hwin, we developed 2 soundtracks unique to the film itself. Tanner Stachan, our talented sound engineer created different soundscapes for each scene and Kai Zeger was the lead colorist.

She Could Be the One is now making it's way across the film festival circuit!
